last night

Earlier this week I had my last class of the semester. Since then, when I should have been working on all my final projects and studying for exams, I was forgetting what day it was and making a plant bench for our balcony.

Last night we brought our kitchen table and two chairs out and we ate homemade pizza amongst twinkly lights and candles. I have a plan to plant pots of lavender and catnip and anything else that repels mosquitos so dinner-on-the-balcony can be a reoccuring event.

It's the time of year when Savannah is the only place I want to be.
Perfect weather and smells and sounds for bike riding, park laying, and balcony sittin'.

Some friends of ours got married this weekend in a little chapel with brick floors and a balcony window where we peeked at the bride before everyone else. Then we ate and danced and hugged and laughed.

p.s. this amazing stop motion video of the gorgeous wedding taken by a friend from church.

St. Patrick's weekend spent in downtown Savannah is a little bit crazy. But when you mix it up with breaks for frozen yogurt, quiet nights on the balcony, sewing, and making dinner with the windows open, it's quite nice.

This weekend marks the end of my spring break. 'Twas good while it lasted. xo

first weekend of spring (it's official)

Tulips

Got up before 8 (a miracle) on Saturday to go yard sale-ing. Bought a vintage wool coat for a dollar...still can't believe it.

Bought strawberries from the side of the road. And thin mints.

Did a lot of dog watching and blanket laying.

Paid way too much for sunday brunch after church.

Watched Diamonds Are Forever & Live and Let die. We've been having a slow going Bond-A-Thon for the past few months.

Made more granola. We can't get enough.

Rode around with the top down on an incredibly hot sunny day and I didn't even complain. I actually kind of liked it a lot.
