When I was in high school, I was interested in sewing so my mom taught me how and I made a few dresses. I haven't played around with my old machine since then, but after finding this pattern I brought it out of the closet and bought a spare part it was missing. I immediately knew I wanted to make dozens of these shirts in all different materials because of the easy, breezy shape. It's just the kind of shirt I like to wear through the summer when the temperatures are making me an unpleasant person to be around.
I bought the material at a yard sale the other week for about 50¢ without knowing what to use it for. It was some sort of utilitarian/household material before, but it feels great as a shirt!
p.s. I was itching to try to lengthen this pattern to make a tank dress, but I just realized that Jen (the pattern creator) has already done that! That will definitely be my next project.
